who we are ?

I am born on the 5th of July 1971 in Nice.

After my “brilliant” schooldays, I turned to the wonderful world of French cuisine. At the time I begin my three year training in Joel Robulchon’s restaurant the “Jamin”. I devote the next ten years, with a beginning of cooking experience, to travelling around the world and completing my gastronomic knowledge. USA, Canada, French West Indies, Asia, Europe, South America, Africa in star rated restaurants or not, with great chefs or great clowns, on the sea shore, in the country side, on yachts, in hotels, pizzerias, from Mexican to Creole cuisine, from Italian to Thai, from Pakistani to Russian, a thousand experiences, stories, persons, adventures …

A wonderful melting pot encompassing French methods and giving life to a univers of cooking novel “Le Cuisinier Nomade”.

In 2000 my career takes a new turn when a rich yacht owner employs me on a beach in Monaco, for the summer season.

To this day I practice my art 4 months a year on the Cote d’Azur in villas, on star’s yachts - politician’s, businessmen’s, and rich heir’s. But it is really 4 years ago, in Senegal, that “Reve de Nomade” started to develop in my mind and became a life project. I meet my girlfriend, 2 years later, on a yacht in Cannes. We share everything and naturally Maxime invests the grounds of my project. On top of her commitment as associate and thanks to her experience and contacts in the world of Interior Design, she will take on the decoration, layout and welcome needs of “Reve de Nomade”.

Our Goal, within the next 2 years, is to offer every year – always within the concept of luxury bivouac – a new original destination, a theme and geographic environment, each time unique and ephemeral.
